About Freideriki Tombazou

Freideriki Tombazou was born in Nicosia and currently resides in the old walled city. She has been involved in music performance from a young age, studying classical guitar, classical singing, and piano. She graduated with honors from the Nicosia Music School and continued her studies in Greek traditional (folk) music at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, specializing in traditional singing. She has attended several significant and diverse music seminars. She participates in local bands and collaborates with notable artists in musical ensembles, music venues, television music shows, concerts, and festivals. In the course of her performances, she has worked with several prominent Greek artists.

In October 2022, she was awarded the “Musician of the Year” title at the Madame Figaro Cyprus annual awards, in the category “Women of the Year”. She is a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Cultural Movement and the Secretary of the Cyprus Musicians’ Union.

She is a founding member of the group “Anemourio”, the vocal ensemble “Kalesma”, the music group “Makrydromos”, the six member bi-communal group “Let’s Sing Together Band”, and a permanent member of the band “Prospectus”. She has participated in performances and concerts as a singer in Cyprus, Greece, the United Kingdom, Hungary, and Sweden.

Φρειδερίκη Τομπάζου - Βιογραφικό

H Φρειδερίκη Τομπάζου γεννήθηκε στην Λευκωσια και τώρα διαμένει στην παλιά- εντός των τοίχων πόλη. Ασχολείται από μικρή ηλικία με την μουσική επιτέλεση μελετώντας κλασική κιθάρα, κλασικό τραγούδι και πιάνο. Αποφοίτησε με Άριστα από το Μουσικό σχολείο Λευκωσίας και συνέχισε τις σπουδές της στην Ελληνική παραδοσιακή(δημοτική) Μουσική στο Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας στην Θεσσαλονίκη με αντικείμενο το παραδοσιακό τραγούδι. Παρακολούθησε σημαντικά και διαφορετικά μουσικά σεμινάρια. Συμμετέχει σε τοπικά συγκροτήματα και συνεργάζεται με αξιόλογους καλλιτέχνες σε μουσικά σχήματα, μουσικές σκηνές, τηλεοπτικές μουσικές εκπομπές, συναυλίες και φεστιβάλ. Στα πλαίσια των εμφανίσεων της έχει συνεργαστεί με αρκετούς Ελλαδίτες καλλιτέχνες.

Τον Οκτώβριο του 2022 βραβεύτηκε στην κατηγορία «Μουσικός της χρονιάς» στα πλαίσια των ετήσιων βραβείων Madame Figaro Cyprus, Γυναίκες της χρονιάς. Είναι μέλος της Συντονιστικής Επιτροπής της Κίνησης Πολιτισμού και γραμματέας της Ένωσης Μουσικών Κύπρου.

Είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος του συγκροτήματος «Anemourio», του φωνητικού συνόλου «Κάλεσμα» του μουσικού σχήματος «Μακρύδρομος» του εξαμελές δικοινοτικού συγκροτήματος «Let’s Sing Together Band» και μόνιμο μέλος του συγκροτήματος «Prospectus». Έχει συμμετάσχει σε παραστάσεις και συναυλίες ως τραγουδίστρια σε Κύπρο, Ελλάδα, Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, Ουγγαρία και Σουηδία.
