ody icons were formed in 2019, but existed for hundreds of years in advance. On Christmas day 2020 they released their sarcastic slam manifesto “Working out my little muscles''. Two months later they participated in ONCE8 by Stegi Onassis in Athens where they present “Yes Hallo Hi” – a slam poem produced by Sagittarius Lefthand. In 2023 ody icons are presenting their first complete album “POLYDRAMA” following the release of their EP “drama” in April 2022 and the single “We cry at night”. The songs of the album are written by ody icon and produced by Fotis ingie Papatheodorou in collaboration with the songwriter. It also features Ioko Ioannis Kotidis, MC mi55t and the Turkish Cypriot artist Erdogan Kavaz, among others.
“This is a musical footprint from my trip in the different rooms of my human experience so far. It’s intense, it’s overwhelming, it’s sad and playful, political and sentimental. It’s a variety of elements that make up my fragility, my essence, my power. I am this trip; this trip it’s me. It’s poly, it’s multiple, it’s plural, it’s maximal. Went through dark rooms and bright rooftops to come back and lay the notes on my piano genuinely.
