Usurum’s music consists of their love for synths, processed beats, folk guitars, polyphonic singing, poetry and urban landscapes. Themes, such as love, death, self - diving and fluctuations are often present in their songs. The band was formed in 2008 by four friends, students of Alimos Music School and is now based in Athens. They have released four studio albums since, and are currently working on their fifth. Their current formation consists of drums, percussion, drum machine, double bass, guitars and synths.
